Surgery on Boy with Cleft Palette

If you followed our trip last year, you may remember about a four month-old boy named Jason who was born with a cleft palette. Dr. Mangat performed surgery on him last year. We had a chance to see Jason again this year. Here are two pictures of Jason last year (before and after surgery) and a picture of him from this morning.

Dear Meg,

All is well here in Kentucky, although we miss you!

We prayed for you and the team today at Mass and seeing the results of this surgery from last year makes us all realize how much of a difference all of you can make in people's lives down there. The look on the little boy's face is that of an angel.

Holly is taking my car back to Indy tomorrow. The weather is cold and snowy and the forecast looks to be the same all week. Lisa G called today and invited me over for the Super Bowl. Everyone was asking about you at the CORD event last night.

Meg, we are so proud of you and how you represent your profession and your faith. You have been making people's lives better for 30 years and this is one of the pinnacles in your career. I'm sure all of your peers at St. Elizabeth echo the same sentiment.

God bless all of you and keep up the good work.

Love always,
Mike
